A Performance from the 2006 Paul’s Basement BBQ Mixer Hoping to present something “politically relevant” which “speaks to the concerns of our generation,” Jason opts to read a sci-fi short story he wrote in junior high. Yes, that would be 27 years ago.


In January 1984, Matt, Jason, Eric, Paul (and a bunch of other folks) traveled to the bustling metropolis of Tacoma, Washington, to see Genesis (or possibly Gene Siskel; my memory is unreliable) live at the mighty Tacoma Dome. A short film (well, 26 minutes is relatively short, isn’t it?) based on the events described in the Trans Am Incident story. Matt and I came up with the idea, Matt shot and directed, I shot a couple of “inserts” (like my shifty eyes and sweaty forehead), and I edited.
